Setting a meter's Analog Scale Value in ECOView

Single-channel ECOs allow you to modify the range on the analog signal output to encompass the entire range of the instrument or decrease the range (increase the resolution) by a factor of two or four. This allows you to get the high resolution of the digital output on the analog output, albeit with a decrease in range. ECO meters are shipped set to ASV=4.

Approximate resolution settings:
ASV

6
0–30µg/l Chl 0.007µg/l Chl

To check resolution:

  1. Run ECOView; be sure to load the meter's device file.
  2. Start Data, then Stop Data. Note the meter's settings at the end of the data file in the Raw Data window.

To change resolution:

  1. Make sure power is supplied to the meter.
  2. Go to the FL Setup tab.
  3. At the pull-down menu, select the desired range. Click the Set Analog Range button to the left.
  4. Click the Store to Flash button.
  5. Check the resolution setting as above to verify your change is in the meter.
