Setting a meter's Analog Scale Value in ECOView
Single-channel ECOs allow you to modify the range on the analog signal output to encompass the entire range of the instrument or decrease the range (increase the resolution) by a factor of two or four. This allows you to get the high resolution of the digital output on the analog output, albeit with a decrease in range. ECO meters are shipped set to ASV=4.
Approximate resolution settings:
ASV |
Scale Factor |
Range |
Resolution |
4 |
26 |
0–125 µg/l Chl |
0.03µg/l Chl |

0–60µg/l Chl |
0.015µg/l Chl |

6 |
0–30µg/l Chl |

To check resolution:
- Run ECOView; be sure to load the meter's device file.
- Start Data, then Stop Data. Note the meter's settings at the end of the data file in the Raw Data window.
